PS 705 meets diverse learning needs. In addition to general education, we offer a dual language (Spanish/English) program, intergrated co-teaching classrooms, and support for students with disabilities.
Founded in 2012, PS 705 is attracting families from all over Brooklyn with its arts-enriched curriculum and programs such as Studio in a School and Wingspan Arts.
In addition to a physical education teacher, a gymnasium and two playgrounds, we make good use of nearby green spaces, such as Prospect Park and the Brooklyn Botanic Garden.
As early as pre-K, our students receive dance, vocal and musical instrument instruction. We have a dance room, music room and an auditorium for performances. (Photo via InsideSchools)
Through a collaboration with the New York Fencing Academy, our students learn the art of fencing, which develops a child’s agility and strategic thinking.
As a part of our emphasis on the literary arts, students participate in Character Day (shown here) and Read-a-Thons.
From serving as fieldtrip chaperones (shown here) to fundraising, parents are an active and integral part of the PS 705 community.
