Through inquiry-based instruction, teachers at Brooklyn Arts and Science Elementary School cultivate the innate curiosity of each learner.
From serving as fieldtrip chaperones to fundraising, parents are an active and integral part of the PS 705 community.
Founded in 2012, PS 705 is attracting families from all over Brooklyn with its arts-enriched curriculum and programs such as Studio in a School and Wingspan Arts.
As early as pre-K, our students receive dance, vocal and musical instrument instruction. We have a dance room, music room and an auditorium for performances.
PS 705 meets diverse learning needs. In addition to general education, we offer a dual language (Spanish/English) program, intergrated co-teaching classrooms, and support for students with disabilities.
The after school STEM club gets a demo of 3D printing and scanning.
In addition to a physical education teacher, a gymnasium and two playgrounds, we make good use of nearby green spaces, such as Prospect Park and the Brooklyn Botanic Garden.
